Creating links (references)

On an FCS platform, you can directly link to a fact via its infoID. This way, links will remain intact no matter where the fact is located.

When referencing a fact, you always indicate which version of the fact you want to link to by adding a version number to the infoID. If you want to link to the most current version, you need to type ".0" as a version number. Subsequently, users will automatically be directed to the most current version for which they are read-permitted. What does this mean? If versions of a fact have different read permissions, different users may  be presented with different versions as the most current one according to the read permissions.

Moreover, it is possible to link to external websites in the Internet by indicated the respective Internet address (URL).

Online Help - If you open an entry input field, you can always find a summary of linking possibilities in HTML-Modus on the left side under „How to link.”

You can create three different kinds of links in a text:
1) Link to an infoID ("factlink")
2) Link to an Internet address (URL)
3) Link from external documents to a fact
